There are two major gym groups in Johannesburg; Virgin Active and Planet Fitness. They are dotted throughout the suburbs and have excellent facilities. So there's no excuse - grab your gym gear and shoes, your i-Pod, your towel . . . and head for your nearest gym for an invigorating workout.


Virgin Active health clubs

There are several dozen Virgin Active health clubs across the suburbs of Joburg:
 
Brightwater Park, Broadacres, Bruma Lake, Bryan Park, Comaro View, Cresta, Edenglen, Fourways, Glen Acres, Greenstone Park, Horizon View, Lenasia, Little Falls, Lonehill, Melrose Arch, Meyersdal, Morningside, Northgate, Old Eds, Ormonde, Randburg, Roodepoort, Sandton, Southgate, Sunninghill, Sunward Park, and Vodaworld.

They offer a full range of facilities and their website has all the information you'll need.


Planet Fitness health clubs

There are eight Planet Fitness health clubs in Joburg:

Craighall Park, Feminique Fairmount, Fourways Megaclub, Rivonia Megaclub, Roodepoort, Village Walk, Wanderers' Megaclub, and Rosebank.
