JOHANNESBURG'S conference scene may be dominated by the city's four major venues, but there are more than 40 other top-class facilities for organisers to choose from. A few are in Soweto; some are in Midrand - convenient for those who need to be halfway between Pretoria and Johannesburg; many are in the city centre or are scattered around the northern suburbs; a few are in the east, near the Johannesburg International Airport; and several are near Lanseria, another airport northwest of the city.
