Friday, 15 February 2008

Region F will host an Open Day at Yeoville Recreation Centre, on 27 February 2008 from 9:00 to 13:00.

The intention of the campaign is to give the community an opportunity to interact with the officials of the Region with regard to service delivery issues.

A health corner will be set up which will be manned by Region F's Health Department. The Health professionals will offer advice on child nutrition, immunisation and the importance of knowing one's HIV/AIDS Status. Tangible health services like blood pressure testing and checking sugar levels will be done at no cost to the community.

Municipal Owned Entities (MOE's) have committed to attend and also be of service to the Community.

A by-law education session will be held in the evening starting at 14:00 and will finish at 16:00.

"It will be beneficial for informal and formal traders and taxi operators to attend the by-law educations session as by-laws pertaining to them will be discussed," said Manager: Stakeholder Management and Liaison, Shaun O'Shea.
