When: 24/25 May
Where: Museum Africa, Newtown

Harambe Afrika Celebrate! 2008 brings together crafters from Botswana, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique, DRC, Zimbabwe and South Africa to honour the creativity of our great continent.

Drawing on ancient traditions and skills, the crafters and artists represented at this first exhibition will showcase some of the finest pieces from the sub-region.

These will also reflect the dynamic and changing nature of our cultures and their response to the 21st century.

Many of the artists and crafters will be present at the exhibition to represent their work and their organisations.

Art and craft are essential elements of the heady visual mix of music and film that will be taking place in Newtown over the weekend of 24 and 25 May. Come to Museum Africa and ensure that you support and ensure continued development of our heritage.
