REBATES on rates have been offered to a number of groups of property owners.

Some of these groups receive the rebate automatically, such as sectional title holders, government schools and universities. Some property owners will, however, have to apply for rebates. Should you fall under the category needing to apply, please remember that the application must be repeated every year; except for pensioners who have to renew rebate applications every two years.

Business or commercial properties and the majority of owners of vacant land do not qualify for rebates.
