The complete set of by-laws covers various local government issues such as public roads and miscellaneous, parking grounds, public open spaces, street trading, public health, cemeteries and crematoria, emergency services, culture and recreation services, and encroachment on property. Council has established a municipal court to deal with all cases of by-law infringements in the area of Jurisdiction.

Calls for public comment

The City is planning to amend the Street Trader by-laws. Anyone who wished to comment on these changes [PDF, 75kb] is welcome to do so by 30 November 2008. A copy of the draft by-law can be seen here [PDF, 122kb].
