Overview

If you have never attended a production at the Civic, you have missed out on a truly special experience.

The Johannesburg Civic Theatre is South Africa’s leading home of live entertainment, presenting world-class international and home-grown theatre.

With three theatres, a cosy café, rooms for private dining or corporate functions, dance studios and an innovative art gallery, the Johannesburg Civic Theatre is an exciting, bustling venue from early morning to late at night.

Its offerings range from classical ballet to comedy; from drama to pantomime; from intimate single-handers to full ensemble productions.
