What’s onThe Zoo TrotAimed at the whole family, the Zoo Trot takes place every second Sunday of the month, starting at 7.30am. Participants can opt to do a fun walk or run, choosing between five and 10 kilometres.

ToursThere are several tours at the Johannesburg Zoo: - Day safaris - visitors are taken on a 90-minute guided tour on tractor-trailer. It needs groups of 15 people or more.
- Night safaris - visitors explore the zoo by moonlight, learning more about the owls, bats and cats. Tours for individuals or groups are available.
- Behind-the-scenes tour – dare to go where the zookeepers go. The tour is open to groups of 10 people or more.
