Tours

There are several tours at the Johannesburg Zoo:

  • Day safaris - visitors are taken on a 90-minute guided tour on tractor-trailer. It needs groups of 15 people or more.
  • Night safaris - visitors explore the zoo by moonlight, learning more about the owls, bats and cats. Tours for individuals or groups are available.
  • Behind-the-scenes tour – dare to go where the zookeepers go. The tour is open to groups of 10 people or more.
It is necessary to book and pay for tours in advance.
