City Offices

Metro CentreTHE City's head quarters are situated at the distinctive Metropolitan Centre at the top of Braamfontein Hill, and it is here that many of the City's administrative offices are based.

On the west side of the Metropolitan Centre is the Metro Link office. It is here that any queries relating to building plans and approvals can be directed.

Information relating to tenders and tender applications is also available from the Metropolitan Centre.

The Metropolitan Centre does not handle enquiries relating to accounts or City services.

Revenue and Customer Relations Management Department
The City's Revenue and Customer Relations Management Department is based in Thuso House, within walking distance of the Metropolitan Centre, to the west of the Johannesburg Civic Theatre.

This is the also City's central payment point.

Regional Customer Service Centres

Regional offices

There are also a number of Customer Service Centres across the city where you can pay City accounts and lodge any query relating to the City or any of its services.

You can do the following at any Customer Service Centre:

  • Accounts payments
  • Accounts enquiries
  • Apply for special cases
  • Credit control arrangements
  • Customer education on understanding statements
  • Full and final settlement of accounts
  • Lodge a customer query
  • Lodge a credit control query
  • Meter investigation requests
  • Obtain information on accounts
  • Reconnection request of services after cut-off
  • Refund request
  • Remissions on accounts for senior citizens
  • Termination of services by owners
  • Update personal information
