General conditions
The first R200 000 of all residential property values is exempt from rating.

Sectional Title owners qualify for an automatic 10 percent rebate on top of this threshold.

Properties valued at less than R200 000 don't have rates levied against them. 
 




2014/15 property rates tariffs
2014/2015 property rates tariffs will be effective from 1 July 2014. Kindly note that property rates tariffs have increased by 5 percent across all categories of properties. 

The Council may levy different rates for different categories of rateable properties. All rateable property will be classified in a category and will be rates based on the zoning, or permitted use of the property, unless otherwise stated in the Policy.
