Section 79 committee

THE Section 79 Committee monitors the delivery and outputs of the executive, and may request departments and mayoral committee members to account for the outputs of their functions. It plays an oversight role but does not have any decision-making powers, and is responsible for submitting reports to the council as the legislature.

Advisory board
The R&CRM has an advisory board. Members of this board are all non-executive directors. Their fields of expertise include legal, financial, human resources, local government and information technology.
There are currently seven members:

The committee and the board meet on a quarterly basis.
