EEPING Johannesburg's residents and business fully informed is the key to building a vibrant relationship between the City and its inhabitants. The City publishes all legal and official notices, including details of financial guarantees it has underwritten, as one way of making sure its citizens know what is going on. This means that all local authority notices are available to the public.
Strategic Integrated Transport Plan Framework 2013-2018
The City of Johannesburg's first Integrated Transport Plan (ITP) 2003-2008, was approved by Council in August 2003. It was updated three times in 2004, 2006 and 2007.

COJ public notice calling for inspection of supplementary valuation roll and lodging of objections
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i) read together with section 78(2)* of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No.6 of 2004), hereinafter referred to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll for part of the financial year 2012 to 2013 (2 July 2012 to 31 March 2013) is open for public inspection at City of Johannesburg from 21 May 2013 to 5 July 2013. In addition the supplementary valuation roll is available at website www.joburg.org.za.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) read together with section 78(2)* of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such. The form for the lodging of an objection is obtainable at the address below or website www.joburg.org.za.

COJ calls for Public Comment on the Draft Strategic Intergrated Transport Plan Framework
The City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality (CoJ) adopted its first 5-year term Integrated Transport Plan (ITP) (2003-2008) in October 2003. The life cycle of the first ITP came to an end in 2008 and as required by the National Land Transport Act (NLTA), Act 5 of 2009, needs to be reviewed. Mid year deviations covering report 2012-13
The City of Johannesburg has reviewed its budget and reprioritised the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) programmes at midyear as provided for in Chapter 4 of the Municipal Systems Act of 2000. This has therefore, resulted in programmes being reviewed to align with the available budget.
