The City of Johannesburg once again made history and notched up one more significant achievement by being the next host of C40 global climate summit in February 2014. This was announced at a joint media briefing in New York on Tuesday 12 March 2013 by the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Clr Mpho Parks Tau and the Mayor of the City of New York, Mayor Bloomberg, who is the current Chair of C40.
