Rea Vaya route link the Johannesburg CBD and Braamfontein with Soweto. It is currently expanding towards Sandton, Rosebank and Midrand as well. Rea Vaya unit officers' mandate is to ensure the safety of bus operators and commuters daily and to ensure a free flow of traffic at the designated bus lanes. FUNCTIONS Administer Tri-Band functions: Traffic Management, Crime Prevention and By-Laws Management.
