The Executive Mayor of City of Johannesburg, Councillor (Cllr) Geoffrey Makhubo together with Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) responsible for Public Safety, Cllr. Mally Mokoena will lead the Inaugural Public Safety Women Indaba.
Set to take place on Wednesday, 18 November 2020, the Public Safety Women Indaba will seek to address challenges faced by the City’s female employees in their day-to-day operations.
The Indaba will further afford the City’s female employees an opportunity to share their experiences as women and engage experts on various issues affecting them, not only in the workplace but also generally in their lives.
Speakers will include:
- Breast Cancer - Actress & Breast Cancer Survivor: Lillian Dube
- Women Empowerment in Public safety - Acting CoP, JMPD: Angie Mokasi
- Gender Based Violence - Gender Activist: Josina Machel
- Mental Health Awareness – Senior Counsellor / Trauma & Mental Health (SADAG): Nono Maseko
