Executive Mayor Geoff Makhubo is responding to service delivery complaints and problems experienced by the community of Region G, by undertaking a full day tour of the area.
He will be accompanied by senior officials of entities and departments as well as local ward councilors to engage residents and relevant committees on crime, drugs, illegal connections and land invasion, dumping, potholes, business and employment opportunities and environmental issues.
Two important initiatives to give hope to residents will be the launch of the Joburg 10 Plus initiative to combat crime, enforce bylaws and provide visibility and response. The tour will culminate with an imbizo to provide residents of Orange Farm in particular to have their say on matters affecting them.
