08-07-2014: Revenue Shared services centres not fully functional for 4-10 July 2014 due to system closure for financial year end

The City of Johannesburg would like to advise its customers that our systems won't be fully functional in all Customer Service Centers due to financial year processes from Friday, 4 July to Thursday, 10 July 2014.
However, there will be limited services available to allow for year-end processes to proceed. The system will be available BUT ONLY for enquiries on customer data, no changes can be processed.

The following functions will be available during this period:

Cash payments can be done;

View statements and obtain statement information;

Acknowledgement of debt arrangements;

Query logging;

Query resolution;

Disconnections and reconnections.

The following functions won't be available during this period:

Refunds;

Clearance applications and issuing of clearance certificates;

No changes on accounts, i.e. changing of details;

No opening and closing of accounts;

No adjustments on accounts;

No applications for water and electricity meter connections;

In general, no transactional issues will be available.

Customers should also note that system response can be slow due to the volume of data being extracted and the City wishes to thank customers in advance for their patience during this period.

Furthermore, customers must note they may also pay their municipal accounts via any Easy Pay outlet (like Woolworth, Pick n Pay, Shoprite Checkers, etc); any SA Post Office and via any bank's internet website, branch or ATM.
