Psssst, wannabe the coolest mom and dad in the whole wide world? Skip work and school and pop into Constitution Hill for the launch of Play Africa’s 6m water table at 10am tomorrow.
Play Africa, which was founded in 2015, is a non-profit company dedicated to creating child-centred spaces that spark creativity and learning through hands-on, experiential activities.
It serves children from birth to age 10, their families and schools, igniting curiosity through groundbreaking programmes in early childhood development and foundation phase education.
If you can’t make it tomorrow, 28 August 2019, then make sure you take the kids between 9:30am and 3:30pm on Tuesdays to Fridays, and 9am to 12pm on Saturdays at the Old Fort for a fun-filled, splish-splashing learning experience that excites all the major senses in children.
You might be lucky and bump into the City Johannesburg’s Speaker of Council, Cllr Vasco da Gama, this Saturday, 31 August 2019, when he visits the Joburg Student Council members who have been volunteering every Saturday at Play Africa.
“The 6m water table was funded by a US-based Rotary Club and two local clubs will do the official handover tomorrow. The table allows children with the autism spectrum or wheelchair-bound kids to have a special sensory experience,” says Play Africa’s Project Coordinator Ann Simmonds.
Cool kids and their cooler parents hang out at Play Africa. You know what to do to be cool…
