Roweena Chetty has come out tops at the 12th annual Leadership Development for Women in Law Enforcement Conference, claiming first prize.

The conference was designed to bring together women in the law enforcement and justice fraternity to discuss issues of leadership, collaboration and opportunities, education, and mentorship for women in law enforcement.

It also highlights exceptional work by women in law enforcement in Africa.

Roweena is a senior law enforcement officer in the Department of Development Planning. She has received many accolades before for her contributions across the fields of Development Planning and law enforcement.

Last year, Roweena walked away with an Association for Office Professionals of South Africa ‘Exemplary Citizen Service Delivery’ award and is the recipient of the City’s Service with Pride Award.

She recently took home a double prize at the annual national Administrative Excellence Awards.

“This is not only a great achievement and accolade for me, but for the City as well in raising its performance excellence, service delivery and citizen satisfaction and community development,” she explains.

Roweena, who works in the Land-Use Development Management Directorate that enforces bylaws, is recognised in her field for being innovative and resourceful in the workplace, an active contributor to the success of her team and for always delivering administrative excellence.

She’s been lauded for delivering exceptional customer experience, coming up with suggestions for efficient and effective processes in the workplace and for serving customers with professionalism, enthusiasm and care.

Congratulations Rowena and continue to fly the City’s flag high.
