Scheduled for Saturday, 7 September, Joburg Day will take place at the Crocodile Creek Polo Club in Lanseria.

Ngakane says this year’s line-up is a showcase of the best musical talent South Africa has to offer. “It’s more than just a music festival, it’s a cultural celebration, bringing people together to enjoy music, food, and camaraderie.”
Featuring the dynamic duo of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, Scorpion Kings are set to deliver an unforgettable performance of their signature Amapiano beats. Known for their high-energy sets and infectious rhythms, their appearance is one of the festival’s most highly anticipated moments.
With a style that blends cutting-edge Amapiano with undeniable charisma, Young Stunna is a crowd favourite. His performance is guaranteed to keep the energy levels high, with hit songs that will have everyone on their feet.
A name synonymous with smooth vocals and addictive house beats, Lady Zamar will be delivering a soulful performance. Her ability to mix powerful storytelling with irresistible rhythms makes her a must-see act at this year’s festival.

Galaxy 947 Joburg Day 2024 is shaping up to be a sell-out event, with tickets moving fast. General Access tickets are priced at R450, offering you a full day of music and fun. For those looking for a more premium experience, the Chill Zone tickets are available for R700 — please note that this area is for adults only, with no under-18s permitted. Children are also welcome, with Kids' tickets priced at R250.
“Please be aware that children under the age of 3 are not permitted at the event. To avoid disappointment, make sure you purchase your tickets through the official Ticketmaster platform, accessible via the Primedia+ App. Be cautious of unauthorised ticket sellers, as only official tickets will guarantee entry,” says Ngakane.
Gates will open at 9 AM, with the music kicking off at 10 AM and continuing well into the evening. The organisers are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees. Security checks will be conducted at the entrance, and emergency services will be on-site to assist in the event of any issues. “To ensure smooth entry, we recommend arriving early to avoid long queues.”
To enhance your festival experience, the organisers have outlined a few guidelines regarding what to bring and what to leave at home. Revellers are welcome to bring soft picnic baskets, cooler bags, camping chairs, small umbrellas, and picnic blankets. However, please note that hard-shell cooler boxes, glass items, and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
