The City of Joburg's Rea Vaya BRT will roll out services to support Bafana Bafana when they take on Guinea in an Afcon 2027 qualifier at Orlando Amstel Arena Stadium on Saturday, 26 September 2026. Kick-off is at 15:00. Rea Vaya is making it easier for soccer fans to get to the match, support the national team and return home safely after the game.
Services will be available from Sandton, Alexandra, Yeoville, Parktown, Joburg CBD, Milpark, Auckland Park, Windsor West and Cresta, Florida North, Westbury, Bosmont, Fleurhof, New Canada, Noodgesig and parts of Soweto. The Orlando Stadium Rea Vaya station will provide convenient access to the stadium.
Feeder services will connect fans to trunk routes:
- F6 (Lea Glen) and F7 (Fleurhof) will connect with T3 buses at Industria West station.
- F8 (Greymont) will connect with T3 buses at Helen Joseph Rea Vaya station.
- F11 (Yeoville and Bellevue) and F12 (Parktown and Charlotte Maxeke Hospital) will connect with T3 buses at Park Station.
- T4a from Sandton, Atholl, Marlboro, Alexandra, Balfour Park and Orange Grove will connect with T3 buses at Park Station.
Rea Vaya buses operate on dedicated lanes, providing fans with a safe and convenient way to travel to the match. Fans are encouraged to purchase a Rea Vaya travel card for R30 at any Rea Vaya station. Cards can be loaded with cash or bank cards and used for return trips and future travel.
Park and Ride
Ndilingilizi Park and Ride in Soweto and the FNB Stadium Park and Ride at Gate 8 will also be available to transport fans to Orlando Amstel Arena Stadium. Fans using the FNB Stadium Park and Ride will receive travel cards free of charge, which can be loaded with funds for a return trip.
Rea Vaya services will operate at 15-minute intervals for the match.
