The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival has partnered with FoodBev Manufacturing SETA and Gauteng Tourism to bring an improved curated food experience through the Delicious Festival Trader Academy.

The academy was launched on 30 August 2023, at the Johannesburg Culinary & Pastry School in Marshalltown. About 50 young informal traders from the academy will have the unique chance to trade at the festival, giving them hands-on experience of a large-scale food event.

Celebrating a d​ecade of culinary excellence, captivating performances, and unforgettable musical experiences, the festival is set to take place on September 23-24, 2023, at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg.

The Delicious Festival Trader Academy is a significant milestone for the festival, as it aims to empower young informal traders with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the food industry. The academy will provide training in various aspects of the food industry, including food safety, hygiene, and customer service. The academy will also provide mentorship and support to the young traders, helping them to develop their businesses and grow their brands.

The partnership with FoodBev Manufacturing SETA and Gauteng Tourism is a testament to the festival's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and job creation in the food industry. The academy will provide young traders with the opportunity to showcase their skills and products at the festival, giving them valuable exposure and experience.

The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival is expected to create over 2,000 jobs and generate R268 million in direct revenue for Gauteng's tourism industry. The festival is known for its impressive lineup of local and international musicians, with this year's headliners including Grammy award winner Zakes Bantwini and rising star Tems.

In addition to the music, the festival is also a feast of culinary delights, with over 40 food traders showcasing their products. With the launch of the Delicious Festival Trader Academy, festival-goers can look forward to an even more curated and diverse food experience at this year's festival.
