Johannesburg Water would like to advise all residents of the City of Johannesburg that Rand Water which is our main bulk water supplier is planning a major shutdown that will affect all our reservoirs and towers in terms of water supply for 54 hours effective from 29 April 2019.

Rand Water is planning a shutdown on the B11 pipeline to install a 2000mm valve and this will result in limited water supply from Rand Water. Therefore, residents are requested to use water sparingly to avoid a no-water situation.

The maintenance will also affect the following Municipalities:
•       Merafong Municipality
•       Rand Wes Municipality
•       Mogale City Municipality
•       Rustenburg Municipality
•       Emfuleni Municipality
•       Madibeng Municipality and
•       Metsimahulu Municipality

Joburg Water appeals to all residents to use water sparingly during this period and remind all customers that level 1 water restrictions are still in place in the City of Johannesburg.
We apologize for the inconvenience and urge all to report all leaks to the Call Center on 011 375 5555
