On Monday, 18 February 2018, the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr Herman Mashaba, invites the media to a briefing on the structural defects on sections of the M2 Bridge.

This is after the Mayor had previously raised concerns regarding the stability of the Karzene and Selby sections of the M2 Bridge which posed a danger to road users as a result of needed maintenance repairs.
