On 31 January 2019, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, joined by the MMC for Environment and Infrastructure Services, Nico de Jager, as well as officials from Johannesburg Water, will hand over ablution facilities to the community of Lusaka View Informal Settlement in Ivory Park.
This after the Mayor received reports that the delivery of the ablution facilities had been delayed through inaction by the local Councillor. The Mayor will arrive at the community tomorrow to ensure service delivery is provided to this community.
Johannesburg Water recently installed ablution facilities in the community of Zamimpilo Informal Settlement, bringing dignity to 1 900 households in the area. This forms part of the City’s commitment to bring Diphetogo, real change, to the residents of Johannesburg.
