This morning, the Executive Mayor, Cllr Herman Mashaba, joined over 800 of the 1500 Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Departments (JMPD) recruits that will soon graduate to become fully qualified officers of the law.
The mayor was led by MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Michael Sun, as well as the Acting Head of Public Safety, David Tembe, as they inspected both a parade at the JMPD training academy in Booysens as well as a road block conducted by the recruits south of Johannesburg.
