On Monday, 14 October 2019, the MMC for Public Safety, Cllr Michael Sun, will take delivery of brand new special patrol vehicles (SPU) at the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department’s (JMPD) Headquarters in Martindale.
The Department of Public Safety’s acquisition of these vehicles form part of the JMPD fleet renewal programme.
The Department will be taking receipt of 40 brand new vehicles to be used for big events and to assist with special escorts.
Members of the media are invited to this launch where there will be opportunities to conduct interviews and take photographs.
