Transport spurs economic growth, a rising standard of living and improved quality of life from which we all ultimately benefit. Thank you for making 2020 a success despite the Covid-19 pandemic’s reminder that it will never again be business as usual for the transport sector.
Despite the pandemic, some of our highlights included Rea Vaya services throughout the lockdown and the opening of Spring Road Bridge.
We understand that the rainy season can make road surface problems worse, The Johannesburg Roads Agency’s Regional Operations teams will continue carrying out pothole repairs during the festive season to make driving across our city seamless.
While driving across the province and country during this festive season, we cannot emphasise enough the need for responsible drinking and calling for even more emphasis on the DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE message because we know that alcohol is a contributory factor to road crashes and deaths on South African roads. In your travels always remember to buckle up, don’t text and drive, beware of fatigue and take rest stops.
