Member of the Mayoral Committee for Development Planning, Cllr Thapelo Amad, has received a positive test result for Covid-19.
MMC Amad received his results while he and his support staff were in self-isolation after two staff members tested positive.
The MMC has encouraged his support staff and everyone else that has been in close contact with him to test and self-isolate for the required time.
On Monday, 21 June 2021, Gauteng recorded 69% of new cases in the country, with the highest hospital admission.
Residents are encouraged to adhere to all Covid-19 protocols and regulations, sanitise, wash hands and practice social distancing.
