The City of Johannesburg operates throughout the festive season; however, customers are reminded about the changes in operating hours for the walk-in Customer Service Centres during this period.

City's Group Finance Department Spokesperson, Kgamanyane Maphologela, says customers will still be able to contact the City, pay for their services and have access to other services.

“Our Call Centre and online services remain operational throughout the festive season period, only our Customer Service Centres will have different operating hours during this time," says Maphologela.

 

Below are the changes in operating hours for walk-in Customer Service Centres:

  • Saturday, 17 December 2022 – Category A and B Customer Service Centres across all Regions will be open from 7:30 to 12:30.
  • Sunday, 18 December 2022 – All Customer Service Centres will be closed except for Region D's (Soweto) pay-points which will be open from 7:30 to 12:30.
  • Saturday, 24 December 2022 – All Customer Service Centres will be closed except for Region D's (Soweto) pay-points which will be open from 7:30 to 12:30.
  • Tuesday, 27 December 2022 – All Customer Service Centres will be closed except for Region D's (Soweto) pay-points which will be open from 7:30 to 12:30.
  • Saturday, 31 December 2022 – All Customer Service Centres will be closed except for Region D's (Soweto) pay-points which will be open from 7:30 to 12:30.

 

Customers are advised to get in touch with the City utilising other channels such as the Call Centre, website and social media platforms to get the latest updates.

•           With Easy Pay, facilitating a quick payment option at many shops that you visit on a regular basis, including Pick 'n Pay and Shoprite Checkers

•           Debit orders

•           Direct deposits at major banks

•           ATMs

•           Internet and cell phone banking

•           SA Post Office

•           e-Joburg Portal (www.e-joburg.org.za) to also receive account statements, send both electricity and water meter readings.
