The City of Johannesburg is continuing its regional open days with a difference. This time, the City’s team of experts will be spending more than one day in each of its 7 regions ahead of an Open Day.
The City’s Revenue Shared Services Centre will be in one region for a period not less than two weeks and invite all regional customers to approach the City and obtained bill interpretation, further resolution, and revenue collection upon acknowledgement of account interpretation.
The City strives to ensure that all its regions are well capacitated to handle all types of queries raised by customers.
These Open Days form part of the City’s ongoing attempts to improve customer service by attending to queries logged at respective customer service centres and call centre. All Ratepayers who have outstanding queries are encouraged to attend.
What makes this different from the normal open days held before?
• Customers will experience focused service and alignment to their regions which will ensure relationship building between the customer and its regional team.
• Regionalized billing management will enable customers an understanding of meter reading schedules.
• Instant query resolution.
“These are but a few of the benefits that our residents will experience during this weeklong focus on each region preceding an open day”, says Kgamanyane Maphologela.
Furthermore, these open days will assist the City in the alignment of meter readings to geographic regions to improve efficiency, billing accuracy and collections; billing accuracy will improve and as a result reduce customer complaints, and it will also allow the City the ability to measure performance per geographic area; and lastly enable instant credit control and collection.
