The City of Johannesburg will be setting up a temporary Customer Service Centre in Ferndale, Randburg on Thursday, 24 August 2023.
The move to house the temporary Customer Service Centre at the Ferndale Hall comes after a fire gutted the Randburg Customer Service Centre early in July this year.
Kgamanyane Maphologela, Director of Customer Communications for the City’s Group Finance Department, says the City is being pro-active by ensuring that there is continuity of services rendered to the residents in the Randburg area which is one of the City’s busiest walk-in-centres.
“The move to establish the temporary Customer Service Centre is an attempt to continue to provide uninterrupted services to our residents. We want to demonstrate that we are a caring City and want to ensure that our residents are not negatively impacted,” says Maphologela.
According to Maphologela, the temporary Customer Service Centre at Ferndale Hall will be capacitated with at least 14 Customer Relations Agents, four Operational Managers, three Cashiers and one Assistant Director to ensure that services continue.
The Centre will offer all services, which include new connections, logging of a query, account analysis, account payments, clearance applications, refunds, pensioner rebates, signing of an acknowledgement of debt and many more.
Below are the operating hours of the Centre:
07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday
09:00 – 15:30 Thursdays
